Northwest College men split games
The Northwest College men’s basketball team slid from a first-place tie atop the Region IX North standings with a 68-64 overtime loss at Dawson Community College last Thursday. The loss came 24 hours after the Trappers looked in full control against Gillette College.

The Northwest College Trapper men’s basketball team is back to where it was at the start of the season — off the radar of the national junior college basketball rankings. The Trappers, who began 2012 as one of more than 50 teams receiving votes in the national top 20 poll, lost all their supporters following an 85-80 home loss to Casper College.

The Northwest College Trappers continue to lurk just outside the NJCAA top 20 men’s basketball rankings according to the latest vote by the national organization. Northwest College received 10 votes, down seven from the team’s pre-winter recess total.

Trapper men topple LBHC
The Northwest College men’s basketball team stormed to an 80-57 win at Little Big Horn College on Saturday as the Trappers returned to the hardwood. The victory lifts the team to a 15-2 mark this season, including a perfect 3-0 performance in Region IX North games so far.

Trapper men top Sheridan
The Northwest College Trapper men’s basketball team handed No. 18 Sheridan College its first loss of the basketball season, grabbing a 79-69 victory on Saturday afternoon. The win sends Northwest into the holiday break at 14-2 overall and 2-0 in Region IX North play. “Obviously, this was a huge basketball game for us on a couple of fronts,” said Trapper head coach Andy Ward.
