Food Service and Food Safety Course

HANDS ON TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

This 52-hour training program will cover the basic skills needed to enter the food service field. Taught by professionals, the trainees will gain valuable knowledge and experience in: Food Safety, Kitchen Safety, Food Service, and Customer Service. In just 6 weeks, participants will gain the basic skills needed to increase their earning potential in the food industry!

  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Covers essential health and safety information
  • Quick Fire Challenges to develop top notch, speedy attention to detail
  • Practice Skills such as wait station prep, cash register, salad and dressing making, food service
  • Labs where you work with food, table and plate presentations
  • Guest Speakers from different food service operations
  • Lectures on safety, first aid, food identification, garnishing
  • Notebook with information from each lecture, diagrams and recipes
  • Ten hours of experiential training working with local food service providers! 

Lecture and lab classes are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 am - 2 pm, in the NWC Center for Training and Development located at the Park County Complex, 1501 Stampede Avenue, Cody.

COST: The cost is $100.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Enrollment is limited so apply by January 15, 2008.
