Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Complete a FAFSA application:

• The student (and at least one parent if applicable) must have a PIN number to electronically file the FAFSA; obtain your pin number at www.pin.ed.gov.
• Read all instructions carefully. Follow instructions, references to specific tax forms and lines.
• Answer every question.
• Northwest College's Title IV Code is 003931.
• Be sure your name on the FAFSA matches your name on your social security card (do not use nicknames).
• Report taxes paid, not taxes withheld.
• If you are divorced or separated, report only YOUR income.
• If you are married, you must report spousal income.

If you file a paper FAFSA:

• Be sure you have the necessary signatures before mailing the paper FAFSA.
• Call or email the NWC FAO if you need assistance.
