Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Complete a FAFSA application:
The application process is much quicker if you use the FAFSA on the Web site at
www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete your application.
- The student (and at least one parent if applicable) must have a PIN
number to electronically file the FAFSA; obtain your pin number at www.pin.ed.gov.
- Read all instructions carefully. Follow instructions, references to specific tax forms and lines.
- Answer every question.
- Northwest College's Title IV Code is 003931.
- Be sure your name on the FAFSA matches your name on your social security card (do not use nicknames).
- Report taxes paid, not taxes withheld.
- If you are divorced or separated, report only YOUR income.
- If you are married, you must report spousal income.
If you file a paper FAFSA:
Use a black pen or #2 pencil
- Be sure you have the necessary signatures before mailing the paper FAFSA.
- Call or email the NWC FAO if you need assistance.
