Military Benefits
Veterans who wish to use their VA benefits must complete an application obtained from the
Registrar's Office .
NWC participates in the Wyoming State funded programs which provide tuition waivers for up to 10 semesters of attendance for:
- Wyoming Overseas Combat Veteran or Surviving spouse and/or children
- Vietnam Veteran or Surviving spouse and/or children
- Surviving spouse and/or children of: Firemen, Law Enforcement Officers, and Emergency Medical Technicians that have been killed in the line of duty.
NOTE
If you, your spouse (if you are married), or a parent (if you are a dependent student) were on active duty during the year for which income information is reported, all housing, food, and other living allowances received during the year must be reported as untaxed income on your
FAFSA/Renewal Application, Worksheet B.
If you resided in base housing, you must report the BAQ amount you would have received if you had been residing off base. Failure to include these benefits and allowances could seriously delay your financial aid award package.
