Northwest College Foundation

The Northwest College Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation which is tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS code. It is associated with Northwest College and was established for four principal purposes: raising, receiving, managing and distributing private funds for educational and related endeavors that support and enrich Northwest. The NWC Foundation serves as the college's official fund-raising organization.

In the early years of the Foundation, acquisition of land to enable campus expansion was a priority. Subsequently, the Foundation has continued to promote the growth of Northwest by securing funds to complete many capital construction projects and award student scholarships.

Current Foundation goals include:

  • To conduct a comprehensive fund-raising campaign from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2009 and raise $8 million to benefit Northwest College and its students as follows:
    • $4 million to endowed scholarships
    • $2.5 million to endow "leading edge" instructional technology
    • $1.5 million in expendable dollars through the Annual Campaign
  • To secure donations which qualify to match the $4.5 million appropriated by the Wyoming Legislature to Northwest College for the Wyoming Community College Endowment Challenge program.
