Independent Study and Internships

Not all courses fit into traditional time slots or delivery methods.  An independent study is a course arranged between a student and a faculty member, and this is a particularly useful way for a student to pursue topics which may not have a wide audience.  Students may take up to 4 credits of independent study each semester, but only a total of four credits of independent study may be counted towards graduation.

Internships allow students to earn credit for work related experience.  Normally, 30 hours of work is needed for each credit the student earns, and there are a number of other requirements for the student. Check Quick Quick Links for a link to more internship information.
