Northwest provides free academic support for students in several different ways.
- The Student Success Center arranges for peer tutoring in any subject for students who request help. Requests may be made by contacting the student Success Center or through the TutorTrac online form.
- The Trio Program offers individual support in a variety of areas to 160 NWC students who meet certain eligibility requirements. The goal of the Trio program is to help students maintain good academic standing.
- The Writing Center in the Orendorff building offers help with essays and other written material for students.
- The Math Center in the Math and Science building provides instructional support for all NWC math students. Tutoring is provided by faculty and math tutors.
- SmartThinking is an tutoring program which allows students to connect with tutors via the internet. SmartThinking is available 24/7.
