For the Family

We know that the decision to leave home and go to school in another country often involves the whole family. And we also understand that there are many questions that need answers before you can make a decision.

We want you to feel comfortable with Northwest College as the right destination for the student in your family and have therefore tried to anticipate some of your questions with answers.

If you have any more questions or clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is Northwest College recognized?

  2. How will my student be able to pay for his tuition, housing, meals, books, etc.?

  3. Are there buses and trains? How will my student go shopping or get to the airport or around the campus?

  4. How can I keep in touch with my family member?

  5. What if my student gets sick or needs health care?

  6. Does my student have to buy health insurance or can s/he use the insurance we have from our country?

  7. I have heard that Wyoming is very cold and gets a lot of snow. What clothes will my student need and how will s/he survive?

  8. What about homesickness? Wyoming is so far away and the culture is so different; I'm afraid my student will not be comfortable there.
