Friendship Program

Our International Friendship Program has been growing since 1987 and has brought together hundreds of international students and community members. The purpose of this successful program is to provide a local family for our international students so they can experience American life off campus.

While the students do not live with their host families, they often have dinners with them, celebrate holidays, go for shopping and recreational trips, and sometimes spend weekends and vacations together. A highlight for the international students is the opportunity to share their cultures and traditions with their hosts.

Come to Northwest College and you, too, can have a relationship with an American family who will care about you and, perhaps, be a part of your life even after you return home!
