International Student Reunion
July 21-25, 2009
Dear Former NWC Students,
YES, YES, YES! Planning for the REUNION OF JULY 21-25, 2009 is taking shape and we are asking you to register online here:
We will officially welcome you to campus on the evening of the 21st or the morning of the 22nd. The schedule includes activities on the 22, 23, and 24. Our farewell breakfast will take place on the morning of July 25. We hope you can plan to come for all or some of the three days.
Options for lodging include:
- on-campus residence halls (cost will be around $25/per person per night)
- hotels in Powell and Cody (we are looking into securing a special rate at a Powell motel; since it is tourist season, we suggest you make your own arrangements if you choose to stay in Cody).
- staying with former friends or friendship families in the area; this, of course, is up to you to arrange.
We have numerous activities planned from which you can choose, including: visits to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, a Cody trolley tour, horseback riding, hiking, rafting, golf, rodeo, a dinner/dance in downtown Powell, a barbecue, talent show, karaoke, and more. Rest assured, however, that there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy the college campus, the Powell community, and to re-connect with each other, as well as friends you made while you were a student here. There will also be special activities planned for children, so bring the family!
We also encourage those of you who have the time to take even more advantage of what this region has to offer, for example, Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks and the Big Horn Mountains. If you would like our suggestions, please do not hesitate to consult us. We are happy to help you.
Finally, we appreciate what a big decision this is for many of you who will take time off from work to travel all the way back to Powell, Wyoming. We hope you are able to come and we assure you a warm welcome in this community that was once your home.
Looking forward to hearing from you, we send our best regards to you and your families,
Harriet (Bloom-Wilson) and Mary (Baumann)
