  • Academic Search Premier — (via EbscoHost) Full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further.

  • Agricola — (via EbscoHost) Contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Coverage back to 1970 and includes more than 2.5 million citations. The citations are comprised of journal articles, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture.

  • America's Historical Newspapers (1690-2000) (Newsbank) — Find news articles covering topics in government, politics, social issues, culture, literature discoveries, inventions and more from hundreds of primary sources . Newsbank also includes current events and special reports.

  • American Veterinary Medical Association — Association for veterinarians. Includes PDF links to their online journals (JAVMA & AJVR).

  • Animal Health and Production Compendium (CABI) — Includes, but limited to, breeds datasheets and images, feeds and nutrition, food animal production, and disease information.

  • Associates Programs Source Plus — From EBSCOHost,  this database  (also referred to as Vocational Studies Premier) is designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges, and provides comprehensive coverage of the most relevant associates program level content.  The database covers subjects as wide-ranging as: alcohol & drug abuse counseling, audiology, biotechnology, computer & data processing, CAD, cosmetology, electrical technology, fashion design, forensics, graphic arts, health information technology, interior design, law enforcement & criminal justice, paralegal studies, robotics, travel & tourism, veterinary assisting, and dozens more.

  • Business Source Premier — (via EbscoHost) Provides full text for nearly 8,200 serials; provides full text back to 1965 and searchable cited references back as far as 1998.

  • Class Guide - Agroecology — A library guide to aid in agroecology research.

  • Credo Reference — General reference source, aggregating content of major subjects from the "best publishers of reference."

  • Crop Protection Compendium (CABI) — Includes, but not limited to, pests, diseases, weeds, crops, natural enemy species, pesticides, trade production and images.

  • EarthTrends — EarthTrends is a comprehensive online database, maintained by the World Resources Institute, that focuses on the environmental, social, and economic trends that shape our world.

  • Films on Demand — Collection by Films Media Group (FMG) of online educational videos. These films are viewed through streaming video and can be linked by faculty into online classes. Flash is the recommended viewing software. If streaming is not smooth, try a lower playback file size (300, or 400).

  • Forestry Compendium (CABI) — Includes, but not limited to, tree species information and taxonomy, pests, botanical uses, seed suppliers, management techniques, and production and land use statistics and maps.

  • Gale Reference (GVRL) — All of your favorite reference books online. Search within one reference title, across several reference titles, or even across several other Gale databases.  Note: GVRL may perform better with Firefox browser rather than Internet Explorer.

  • Global Road Warrior — Created by World Trade Press, this database provides statistics on countries around the world: demographics, banking, culture, climate, images, transportation, health, maps, travel, embassies, etc.

  • Greenfile (Ebsco) — From EBSCO, Greenfile offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.

  • New Database HathiTrust — HathiTrust (pronounced "Hot'-y" is a partnership of major research institutions and libraries working to ensure that the cultural record is preserved and accessible long into the future. There are more than sixty partners in HathiTrust, and membership is open to institutions worldwide.

  • Lexis-Nexis — Lexis Nexis has full-text and abstracts of news, business, and legal information. Great source for regional, national, and international newspaper coverage.

  • MasterFILE Premier — (via EbscoHost) Multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 2,000 general reference publications dating as far back as 1975. Also includes more than 360 full text reference books, 84,074 biographies, 86,135 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

  • Mobile Search to Academic Search Premier & Other Ebsco Databases — Ebsco-provided databases formatted for your mobile phone, iTouch, iPhone, BlackBerry, Dell Axiom, Palm 750 and other devices. Your database choices include our nursing, business, and history databases, Agricola and GeoRef. Javascript must be enabled on your device (BlackBerry users see Enable Javascript on BlackBerry.)

  • OmniFile Full Text Select (via Ebscohost) — Full text access to magazine and journal articles. Covers about 1,700 periodicals, in all disciplines. From mid-1990s to the present.

  • Proquest Agriculture Journals — Contains the leading agricultural journals published in North America including the agriculture-related topics: Animal and veterinary sciences,Plant sciences,Forestry, Aquaculture and fisheries, Farming and farming systems, Agricultural economics, & Food and human nutrition.

  • Proquest Central — An interdisciplinary database by Proquest; includes JBI (nursing evidence-based journals) and agricultural journals.

  • Proquest Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) Complete — The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires that U.S. federal agencies or anyone receiving federal funding prepare detailed analyses of any of their actions that significantly affect the quality of the environment. Almost all developments, such as roads, houses and airports, have an impact on the environment. In recent years, EISs have looked increasingly at biodiversity. Most EIS documents will include a description of major habitats and a list of the plant and animal species present. They also pay particular attention to the presence of threatened species. Where the effects are considered significantly harmful to threatened species, an additional document, the Species Impact Statement (SIS), may also be prepared.

  • Reader's Guide Retrospective: 1890-1982 — Wilson's Reader's Guide Index provides article citations written between 1890-1982. This resource cross-links to the library's Article Linker which searches for full-text articles. Now provided by EbscoHost.

  • Reference Universe-- Search Hinckley Library Reference (Paratext) — A search engine to search the complete back-of-the-book indexes and articles to over 16,000 reference works and then matches them to Hinckley Library's reference collection.

  • Science Direct: College Edition — Peer-reviewed journals, books, handbooks, & reference books covering scientific, social science, medical and technical information.

  • Serials Locator — Have a journal citation but need to find which database carries the full text? Search for the journal's title in this electronic journal locator tool created by SerialsSolutions.

  • USA.gov — The official portal for all USA federal, state. and local information, from online documents and resources to social security benefits, government jobs and tips on stretching your dollars.
