  • 18th Century Collections Online (ECCO) — ECCO is an online library of over 136,000 titles published between 1701 and 1800.  Majority of works are in English, but other languages are represented.  ECCO has full-text searching of primary source materials.

  • 19th Century U.S. Newspapers — Digital full page images with advanced searching capabilities. Covering all 50 states and District of Columbia, each newspaper (1800-1899) is captured from cover-to-cover, providing access to every article, advertisement and illustration.

  • Academic Search Premier — (via EbscoHost) Full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further.

  • New Database America's Historical Newspapers (1690-2000) (Newsbank) — Find news articles covering topics in government, politics, social issues, culture, literature discoveries, inventions and more from hundreds of primary sources . Newsbank also includes current events and special reports.

  • New Database American History in Video — Study and analyze American historical events, and their presentation over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaires.

  • Associates Programs Source Plus — From EBSCOHost,  this database  (also referred to as Vocational Studies Premier) is designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges, and provides comprehensive coverage of the most relevant associates program level content.  The database covers subjects as wide-ranging as: alcohol & drug abuse counseling, audiology, biotechnology, computer & data processing, CAD, cosmetology, electrical technology, fashion design, forensics, graphic arts, health information technology, interior design, law enforcement & criminal justice, paralegal studies, robotics, travel & tourism, veterinary assisting, and dozens more.

  • Books In Print.com Professional — Offers complete bibliographic information on over 9 million in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming book, e-book, audio, and video titles. Includes tables of contents, annotations, reviews, images and author biographies.

  • CQ Global Researcher — Coverage of newsworthy global affairs from a multitude of international viewpoints.

  • Compass Placement Sample Questions — Includes sample questions in mathematics, reading, writing skills, writing essay, and ESL (English as a second language) which covers listening, reading, grammar and usage.

  • Credo Reference — General reference source, aggregating content of major subjects from the "best publishers of reference."

  • Essay and General Literature Index — Wilson's index accesses thousands of essays in over 5,000 anthologies and collections. Covers humanities and social sciences topics.

  • New Database Film Literature Index — FLI annually indexes 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries cover-to-cover and 200 other periodicals selectively for articles on film and television. The periodicals range from the scholarly to the popular.

  • Films on Demand — Collection by Films Media Group (FMG) of online educational videos. These films are viewed through streaming video and can be linked by faculty into online classes.

  • New Database Gale Directory Library — Gale Directory Library searches several Gale directories, encyclopedias and other databases.

  • Gale Reference (GVRL) — All of your favorite reference books online. Search within one reference title, across several reference titles, or even across several other Gale databases.  Note: GVRL may perform better with Firefox browser rather than Internet Explorer.

  • Global Road Warrior — Created by World Trade Press, this database provides statistics on countries around the world: demographics, banking, culture, climate, images, transportation, health, maps, travel, embassies, etc.

  • Granger's Index to Poetry — Full-text poetry and citations to poems in multiple languages covering the works of several major poets as well as current poetry from some of the best poetry periodicals.

  • JSTOR — Provides  full-text to scholarly journals in administration, African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, business, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, law, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population, psychology, public policy, sociology, statistics,  US and International Music research and theory, and more... Current issues are not included.

  • Literature Criticism Online (Gale) — Includes author biographies and reviews and criticism of their works in contemporary, children, drama, poetry, and short story literature.

  • Literature Resource Center (Gale) — Biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline; 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors.

  • New Database Mango Languages — "The easiest way to learn a foreign language!" Mango is an online learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian & more. You may create your own login to save and track your progress.

  • MasterFILE Premier — (via EbscoHost) Multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 2,000 general reference publications dating as far back as 1975. Also includes more than 360 full text reference books, 84,074 biographies, 86,135 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

  • Mobile Search to Academic Search Premier & Other Ebsco Databases — Ebsco databases formatted for your mobile phone, iTouch, iPhone, BlackBerry, Dell Axiom, Palm 750 and other devices. Your database choices include our nursing, business, and history databases, Agricola and GeoRef. Javascript must be enabled on your device (BlackBerry users see Enable Javascript on BlackBerry.)

  • New Database North American Indian Thought & Culture — Includes American Indian, Alaska Natives, & Canadian First Peoples autobiographies, biographies, Indian publications, oral histories, personal writings, photographs, drawings, & audio files.

  • NoveList — Fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles.

  • Online Books from UPenn Libraries — Free online books, including classics, scanned and provided by the University of Pennsylvania libraries.

  • Oxford English Dictionary Online

  • Play Index (Wilson) — Wilson's indexed plays. Search by title, author, subject, keyword, cast, audience level or genre.

  • New Database Proquest Central — An interdisciplinary database by Proquest; includes JBI (nursing evidence-based journals) and agricultural journals.

  • New Database Reader's Guide Retrospective: 1890-1982 — Wilson's Reader's Guide Index provides article citations written between 1890-1982. This resource cross-links to the library's Article Linker which searches for full-text articles.

  • New Database Reference Universe-- Search Hinckley Library Reference (Paratext) — A search engine to search the complete back-of-the-book indexes and articles to over 16,000 reference works and then matches them to Hinckley Library's reference collection.

  • Serials Locator — Have a journal citation but need to find which database carries the full text? Search for the journal's title in this electronic journal locator tool created by SerialsSolutions.

  • Short Story Index (Wilson) — Wilson's index to find short stories by author, title, keyword, etc.

  • USA.gov — The official portal for all USA federal, state. and local information, from online documents and resources to social security benefits, government jobs and tips on stretching your dollars.

  • Wilson OmniFile Full Text Select — Full text access to magazine and journal articles. Covers about 1,700 periodicals, in all disciplines. From mid-1990s to the present.
