  • New Database A & P Revealed — McGraw-Hill's Anatomy & Physiology Revealed is an interactive cadaver dissection experience. A & P uses cadaver photos combined with a layering technique that allows the user to peel away layers of the human body to reveal structures beneath the surface. A & P Revealed offers animations, radiologic imaging, audio pronunciations, and more.

  • Academic Search Premier — (via EbscoHost) Full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further.

  • Alternative Healthwatch — (via EbscoHost) Full text for 180 publications, many peer-reviewed journals; subject areas cover complementary and alternative medicine dating back to 1990.

  • Trial Database Associates Programs Source

    Trial Expires Dec. 31, 2008. From EBSCOHost,  this database  (also referred to as Vocational Studies Premier) is designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges, and provides comprehensive coverage of the most relevant associates program level content.  The database covers subjects as wide-ranging as: alcohol & drug abuse counseling, audiology, biotechnology, computer & data processing, CAD, cosmetology, electrical technology, fashion design, forensics, graphic arts, health information technology, interior design, law enforcement & criminal justice, paralegal studies, robotics, travel & tourism, veterinary assisting, and dozens more.


  • CINAHL — Definitive database for nursing and allied health research. Find information on Audiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Consumer Health.

  • Cochrane Library — Reliable and up-to-date information on the effects of health care. Published on a quarterly basis, this database is designed to provide information and evidence to support decisions taken in health care and to inform those receiving care.

  • Health Source - Consumer Edition — (via EbscoHost) Rich collection of consumer health information including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Searchable full text for nearly 150 journals.

  • Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition — (via EbscoHost) 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals.

  • LearningExpressLibrary "Learn a Test" (Practice Exams) — Free online academic and licensing practice tests and exams. Learning Express offers over 27 tests including GED, SAT, TOEFL, Nursing, GRE, Firefighter, Civil Service, U.S. Citizenship, Writing. Login using your library card number and choose your own password.

  • Lexis-Nexis — Lexis Nexis has full-text and abstracts of news, business, and legal information. Great source for regional, national, and international newspaper coverage.

  • MedicLatina — (via EbscoHost) Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative journals published by renowned Latin American medical publishers; full text for nearly 100 peer-reviewed medical journals.

  • Medline — A service of the National Library of Medicine, this database provides access to Medline citations back to the mid-1960s and additional life science journals. It includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.

     


  • Nursing Resource Center (Gale) — Designed to support nursing programs. NRC offers premier supplemental reference material geared to the education and research needs of nursing students, including access to sample care plans, multimedia content, full text reference books, citations to journals in the field and more.

  • PsycARTICLES — (via EbscoHost) From the American Psychological Association (APA), PsycARTICLES is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 100,000 articles from 59 journals. Coverage spans 1894 to present.

  • PsychiatryOnline - DSM Premium — From the American Psychiatric Association (APA), PsychiatricOnline includes the DSM Library and several leading journals and texbooks in psychiatry and psychology.

  • Science Direct: College Edition — Peer-reviewed journals, books, handbooks, and reference books covering scientific, medical and technical information.

  • Serials Locator — Have a journal citation but need to find which database carries the full text? Search for the journal's title in this electronic journal locator tool created by SerialsSolutions.

  • Wilson OmniFile Full Text Select — Full text access to magazine and journal articles. Covers about 1,700 periodicals, in all disciplines. From mid-1990s to the present.
