  • Academic Search Premier — (via EbscoHost) Full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further.

  • Ancestry Library — Partnered with MyFamily.com this collection of more than 4,000 databases covers U.S., U.K., and Canada and includes census, vital, church, court, and immigration records.

  • Annual Reviews Online — Synthesis of scientific literature; NWC accesses 1996 - current

  • Trial Database Associates Programs Source

    Trial Expires Dec. 31, 2008. From EBSCOHost,  this database  (also referred to as Vocational Studies Premier) is designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges, and provides comprehensive coverage of the most relevant associates program level content.  The database covers subjects as wide-ranging as: alcohol & drug abuse counseling, audiology, biotechnology, computer & data processing, CAD, cosmetology, electrical technology, fashion design, forensics, graphic arts, health information technology, interior design, law enforcement & criminal justice, paralegal studies, robotics, travel & tourism, veterinary assisting, and dozens more.


  • BibArch — Biblical Archaeology

  • CQ Researcher — Up-to-date reports on current or controversial topics. Each report includes citations to other resources.

  • Country Studies — Presents a description and analysis of the historical setting and the social, economic, political, and national security systems and institutions of countries throughout the world.

  • CountryWatch — Includes country reviews, data, maps, intelligence briefings, specials reports and more

  • Current Biography — Wilson's biographical essays on important Americans. Coverage from 1940 to the present.

  • ERIC — (Education Resources Information Center) U.S. Department of Education produces the world's premier database of journal and non-journal education literature; 1.1 million citations going back to 1966; 107,000 full-text non-journal documents (issued 1993-2004), previously available for a fee.

  • Essay and General Literature Index — Wilson's index accesses thousands of essays in over 5,000 anthologies and collections. Covers humanities and social sciences topics.

  • FirstGov — The U.S. Government's official information portal

  • Greenfile (Ebsco) — From EBSCO, Greenfile offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.

  • Trial Database HRAF Archaeology — eHRAF Archaeology is a cross-cultural database containing information on prehistory.  This unique, annually-growing eHRAF database is organized by archaeological traditions and the full-text documents are subject-indexed to the paragraph level.

  • Trial Database HRAF World Cultures — The eHRAF World Cultures is a cross-cultural database that contains information on all aspects of cultural and social life.  The annually-growing eHRAF database is unique in that the information is organized by cultures and ethnic groups and the full-text documents are subject-indexed at the paragraph level.

  • Heritage Quest — Includes ProQuest's Genealogy and Local History Online, a collection of over 25,000 family and local histories.

  • History Reference Center — (via EbscoHost) Full text from more than 860 history reference books and encyclopedias, cover to cover full text from nearly 60 history magazines, 58,000 historical documents, 43,000 biographies of historical figures, more than 12,000 historical photos and maps, and more than 80 hours of historical film and video.

     


  • JSTOR — Provides  full-text to scholarly journals in administration, African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, business, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, law, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population, psychology, public policy, sociology, statistics,  US and International Music research and theory, and more... Current issues are not included.

  • Lexis-Nexis — Lexis Nexis has full-text and abstracts of news, business, and legal information. Great source for regional, national, and international newspaper coverage.

  • Literature Resource Center (Gale) — Biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline; 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors.

  • MasterFILE Premier — (via EbscoHost) Multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 2,000 general reference publications dating as far back as 1975. Also includes more than 360 full text reference books, 84,074 biographies, 86,135 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

  • Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center (Gale) — Designed to aid students in the study of today's hottest social issues, this database can also be cross-searched with other Gale databases.

  • PsycARTICLES — (via EbscoHost) From the American Psychological Association (APA), PsycARTICLES is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 100,000 articles from 59 journals. Coverage spans 1894 to present.

  • PsychiatryOnline - DSM Premium — From the American Psychiatric Association (APA), PsychiatricOnline includes the DSM Library and several leading journals and texbooks in psychiatry and psychology.

  • SIRS Researcher — Full text articles from newspapers, magazines, and government  publications. Especially good for current events and leading topics in the news.

  • Sanborn Maps, 1867-1970 — Provides digital access to Sanborn fire insurance maps for Wyoming cities and towns. Used to estimate the potential risk for urban structures. The maps also give street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers.

  • Science Direct: College Edition — Peer-reviewed journals, books, handbooks, and reference books covering scientific, medical and technical information.

  • Serial Set: Congressional Research Digital Collection and U.S. Serial Set (1789-1969) — (via Lexis-Nexis) Explore Congress in action; includes congressional publications, legislative research, Federal Register, and floor votes. Also includes U.S. Serial Set (1789-1969) and Serial Set Maps.

  • Serials Locator — Have a journal citation but need to find which database carries the full text? Search for the journal's title in this electronic journal locator tool created by SerialsSolutions.

  • Thomas — U.S. Congress information from the Library of Congress.

  • Wilson OmniFile Full Text Select — Full text access to magazine and journal articles. Covers about 1,700 periodicals, in all disciplines. From mid-1990s to the present.

  • Wyoming Biography Database — Index to books that contain biographical profiles of Wyoming people; currently 7,317 entries from 27 books.

  • Wyoming History — Military, cultural, and transportation history portal as well as other historical facts and statistics
