Health & Safety
NWC has a campus resource officer to aid in the security of the campus, to provide education to students on safety and security related topics.
NWC also has a campus watch-person on campus in the evening hours to provide escorts around campus, observe the parking lots to help prevent thefts and vandalism, and to help in making the campus as safe as possible.
NWC maintains a close working relationship with both the Powell Police force and the Park County Sheriff's Department. Powell Police routinely patrol the streets and parking lots on campus and the outlying agricultural and equine facilities. Police respond to both routine and emergency calls. They also provide the college with timely information about criminal activity in the community so that college employees and students may act to protect themselves and assist in crime prevention efforts.
