Welcome to the Mathematics Department at Northwest College!
We offer a variety of math courses and services to students. In particular, we offer developmental, freshmen, and sophomore level mathematics courses. Students are welcome to visit our Math Center, where free drop-in help is available.
A two-year specialization in mathematics is designed to prepare students to transfer to a four-year school at the junior level. Whether students are specializing in mathematics or mathematics education, we offer a complete two-year curriculum, including three semesters of calculus followed by differential equations and linear algebra. In all of our upper-level mathematics courses, we utilize the latest technology by incorporating hands-on instruction with computer programs such as Derive and TI-84 graphing calculators into the course work.
