Heart Mountain homesteader creates $2 million scholarship fund at NWC
POWELL, Wyoming — Heart Mountain homesteader Forrest Allen shared the fruits of his farm with Northwest College this year. Not the usual kind. The 93-year-old committed $1 million of his life's savings to perpetuate NWC ag scholarships. His gift was matched by the State of Wyoming, generating a $2 million endowment.

“Fun with Chopsticks” returns Tuesday, Dec. 9, at NWC
POWELL, Wyo. ─ Anyone who's attended the annual "Fun with Chopsticks" event knows better than to show up with a knife and fork for this hectic, but friendly competition. The fun gets underway at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center on the Northwest College campus.

POWELL, Wyo. – The Northwest Civic Orchestra adds to the spirit of the holiday season and the day-long community celebration of Powell's Country Christmas with a festival of traditional carols and music from the 2004 computer-animated fantasy film "The Polar Express."
