Tutoring Services

An important part of the Student Success Center is its peer-tutoring program which provides help for students in all academic areas.

Northwest College's Peer Tutor Program is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) to train tutors.

Recruited from the student body and recommended by the academic departments, the peer tutors represent both academic excellence and service to others.

Tutoring services include both individual and small group tutoring. Services are free to all students, those who are academically successful as well as those who are experiencing difficulties in their coursework.

Assistance and materials on study skills are also available. For the greatest benefit, students are encouraged to request assistance as soon as they experience academic need.

In addition to daytime individual tutoring and group study, evening study and help sessions are available at various locations. Students should check with the tutor coordinator at the beginning of each semester for a complete tutoring schedule or as schedules have been completed they can be viewed at Tutoring Services.
