Wilderness Orientation Week Northwest College, Powell, WY Wilderness Orientation Week

Have you ever tried to tame the rushing rapids of the Shoshone River? Or conquered the granite walls in one of Wyoming's best climbing spots? How about camped under a blanket of stars in the beautiful Beartooth Wilderness? Well, here is your chance!

What is WOW?

The Wilderness Orientation Week, or WOW, is the first of it's kind for Northwest College. This program is designed to engage incoming freshman (and other new NWC students) in an outdoor setting giving them a chance to experience all the area has to offer. Our goal is to help you (the participant) prepare for the coming school year by getting you out of your comfort zone, allowing you to learn new skills, meet new people, and experience nature.

* Depending on the number of participants, we may alter one or more of the trips content. That could be 3 days of backpacking or climbing, etc. depending on what participants would want.

When is it?

Our trip will take place August 18-21, 2014, prior to Kick Off Weekend. We are limited to 30 students, so sign up fast!

Why should you come?

The benefits are endless! Besides a great experience, you will get an awesome t-shirt, AND if you register by July 30th, you will be entered in a drawing to win a free prize.

Register by July 30 and you will have your name placed in a drawing to win a free prize, ideal for the trip itself. Keep posted as we begin to highlight that and more information on this years Wilderness Orientation Week!
