Kaylin Olivas — Interim Women's Soccer Coach

Coach Kaylin Olivas begins her first year as the Interim Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer program at Northwest College. Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Coach Olivas began to play soccer at the age of 10 as a defender. During high school and club soccer she played the goalkeeper position. 

Coach Olivas was recruited to play at the University of Wyoming for two seasons, and then became the manager for the Cowgirl Soccer Team until graduating in December 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health, Conditioning and Coaching. 

Her coaching career began at the age of 14, when she was the assistant coach of her younger sister’s soccer teams. After graduation from the University of Wyoming, Coach Olivas was hired as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Laramie High School Girls’ Soccer Team. She coached three years for the Lady Plainsmen winning three state championships and posting a 42-6-3 record with 31 shutouts and 26 goals against opponents.  Coach Olivas was hired with Wyoming’s Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (WYS ODP) as their Goalkeeper Coach. After her first year with WYS ODP she was hired as the Director of the Program and the Head High School Coach for the girls’ side, along with continuing to be the Goalkeeper Coach for the state. During her first year as the Head Coach for the WYS ODP girls’ team they competed in the Park City Tournament (2010) and ultimately became tournament champions. She begins her fourth year with WYS ODP as the Director of the Program, Girl's Director, Head High School Girls’ Soccer Coach, Assistant Middle School Soccer Coach, and Goalkeeper Coach for WYS ODP.       

In 2009, Coach Olivas began her own Goalkeeper Camp called the "Stonewall Goalkeeper Camp", where she travels around the state of Wyoming holding a 4-day camp strictly focused on goalkeeping technique. It has grown from 3 kids in 2009 to over 40 kids in 2011.




Brad Hammond — Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

BradHammond

Brad Hammond brings a wealth of knowledge to NWC's soccer program, having been a starting collegiate player at the Division II in Oklahoma.  He served as high school boys and girls head soccer coach for five years.  Hammond has an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.
