Jim Zeigler, head coach and athletic director at Northwest College, recently announced three new signees for the Trapper wrestling team. Among the latest student athletes who signed letters of intent with the Trappers was heavyweight Landon Harris.

Zeigler Lands Three More Recruits for Wrestling Program
Jim Zeigler, head coach of the Northwest College wrestling team, recently announced the signing of three more student-athletes. Those signing letters of intent to compete for the Trapper wrestling team are Dustin Baldwin, Corey Woodruff and Briston Brenton.

Northwest College conducted the 10th annual Apodaca Dual Showdown last Friday and Saturday, and the Trappers enjoyed a memorable weekend by posting a 2-1 mark against some of the top junior college teams in the country.

A Fitting Tribute
The Northwest College wrestling team once again will celebrate the life of former Trapper Christopher Brooks Apodaca beginning Friday when the annual dual showdown bearing his name gets under way at 5 p.m. at Hank Cabre Gymnasium on the NWC campus.

The Northwest College wrestling team took fifth place at the NWCA-Cliff Keen National Duals in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, last weekend after posting a 2-1 mark in the two-day event.

Family Tradition
Jim Zeigler, head coach at Northwest College, often refers to Trapper wrestlers past and present as family. And as the head of the household, so to speak, Zeigler had to put the current wrestling family through a course in NWC wrestling history early last week as it prepared for last Wednesday's matchup with rival Western Wyoming Community College.
